  Quick, easy, and gave a good price

  Went in to see what price they could offer for a rifle I wanted to sell. Paid $650 for it new a year ago and never fired one round. They asked what I was looking to get and I said $300. The guy who apparently makes that decision wasn't interested in paying that much so I said no worries, I'll try elsewhere. He then decided to inform me that I'm asking too much and ridicule me for high balling. I said politely that I don't think I am, but I understand he's not interested so it's no big deal, I'll just sell privately. At that time another customer expressed interest in purchasing the rifle from me. The store employee heard this and got agitated stating we couldn't conduct business like that in his store or on the property. We said no problem, we'll exchange numbers and leave. As we're exchanging numbers in the parking lot, The store employee comes outside and starts writing down license plates numbers and asking for names and repeats that we can't conduct business on his property. We were in no way disrespectful nor argumentative, yet he treated us like we were doing something wrong. When I inquired what law prohibits us from exchanging numbers he refused to answer. When I ask him why he's recording our vehicle information he refused to answer. Very rude and disrespectful person. I later called another pawn shop and described the situation and the owner patiently explained that there is a law against selling privately on a licensed pawn shops property and it was easy to understand. Just don't understand why this particular employee couldn't take the 30 seconds to explain rather than treat us like criminals.
